Two weeks later and it still smells!
We would like to have given this cabinet a better rating but the smell of the finish made this one star review unavoidable. Upon opening the box, the chemical smell was so powerful it needed to be moved outdoors. After a week of moving the unpacked individual pieces back and forth from outside to our garage (depending on the weather) we finally decided to assemble it. Even now, a week after assembly(two weeks after delivery) we still smell it. I called the company directly and was told all of their finishes were compliant and the representative suggested some customers put a bowl of baking soda on the unit to help absorb the smell. That statement tells me they have received multiple calls regarding this issue. I can't understand why it hasn't been addressed? The cabinet itself is nice and suits our decor and need so we opted not to return it. We do feel the front "woven wicker" panels could be a tighter fit on the doors so if the smell wasn't present we would have given this product four stars. I'm sure customers like myself, keeping the product as opposed to returning it, is one reason the manufacturer hasn't fixed this problem. I hope this review will be read by both Crosley and Bed Bath & Beyond so they know they have and a selling a product that even with this issue customers are keeping because of its looks and functionality. Without the smell I would recommend this company and product to others but based on this experience I most certainly would not.
