We were looking for a sink for our home renovation and found this on Wayfair. I like the features and accessories that came with this package, they were exactly what I had in mind. Everything was well packaged and protected for shipping. This sink is solid, nice thick stainless steel. It has excellent sound deadening, no cheap tinny sound here. It is a nice deep sink as well for those larger items, 10" in the deep end of the pool by the drain. The grate is of high quality as is the bamboo cutting board and silicone drying rack. We really like that there is an integrated ledge for the rack and cutting board sit on. After receiving this sink, we had to return a faucet from a competitor and based on the quality and subsequent value of the KORE Workstation, we purchased the Oren faucet in Satin Black. As it turned out, this ended up being a great package from Kraus. Value is a sliding scale, based on the quality of the product and the pricing, this is a great value.
Best undermount sink available. High quality with nice features. On the 27-inch model, we liked that the drain is located in the corner so that everything can be rinsed in one direction toward the strainer. Sinks with drains in the center tend not to catch everything when rinsing. We also liked that it came with the drain kit and a drain cover. Many features are similar to other sink manufacturers - thick gauge stainless steel with sound damping, deep undermounted design - but main reason we purchased this is the "ledge" that is used to support all of the workstation accessories. The included accessories are great, and hopefully other accessories will become available in the future, or we'll find accessories that fit. Time will tell if the ledge becomes cumbersome to clean.
This is the best thing about our kitchen! I looked everywhere for a stainless steel sink that was big like this one and two huge bonuses are the cutting board that fits into the groove of the sink, it slides left to right and it so convenient when your prepping because you can swipe cuttings right into the sink and into a disposal if you have one, and the silicone drying rack is so great that we got rid of our free standing drying rack. We simply put our dishes and glasses on the rack and any water drips back into the sink. So EFFICIENT! One word of caution, we purchased for a remodel and our countertop fabricator didn't take into account the lip at the top and bottom of the sink that is used to hold the cutting board and tray. They had to make adjustments on site so that they would fit properly. If you buy this sink and plan to have someone install countertops along with it make sure they know the specs of the sink and how to install because it's different from many standard sinks.
If you are looking for a farmhouse/apron front sink you already expect to either pay a premium for install or put in a little thought to prepare the sink base yourself. We just installed this sink and expect it to wear like any other stainless sink. We replaced a very nice cast iron sink with this as we didn't want another white cast iron sink as ours was prone to showing every wear mark from the other "K" brand. Overall, the sink was pretty easy to install. I installed the sink in a 36 inch base cabinet. This is contrary to what most of what you find on the internet. The internet claims you need to install this type of sink in a base at least 3 inches larger than the sink. After preparing the base there is a minor reveal of about 1/16" on either side of the base. Basically, the face of the cabinet is cut to match the height of the sink and the sides are notched to match the profile. I also cut the top of the base where the sink rests, so when the sink is installed the rear of the base is a little proud of the sink. This way the countertop does not put weight onto the perimeter of the sink. The sink is siliconed in place. When the countertops are installed the space between the countertop and the sink will have silicone as well. The drain that came with the sink was mostly plastic, so I opted for a complete stainless steel drain I purchased from a third party. Overall, my wife and I are very happy with this sink. We joke with our kids that if we had this when they were babies we could easily have bathed them in this huge 36" sink. We can't wait for our countertops and backsplash to be in place to finish off this remodel.
Our house is just shy of 1,000 sq ft. Making every inch counts and when my husband and I decided to redo the kitchen we did a lot of research on kitchen sinks because it is one of the most frequently used areas of our house. Several features appealed to us in this one ... the strength of stainless steel, the lip that allows items to be placed in it, and the workstation tag line with multifunctional items. Minus a couple naysayers the reviews for this product is really high. I truly could not wait to get this sink in. The install went smooth. We were able to do it ourselves and the look was OK. Nothing stands out about this sink. It looks like one you would find in a restaurant kitchen. It didn't take me long to realize the cleaning this thing is going to be a bear. I had a stainless steel sink before and figure this would be similar. It is not ... *The drainage does not go down the drain from all angles . We have a sprayer and it takes many attempts to spray everything toward the direction of the drain. The water ends up sitting on the bottom anyway. *Food particles gets stuck in the right hand corners. (See the improper drainage comment above ) *The bottom grate get food stuck in it and must be pulled up every night to dry . *I used window spray , a towel and finally a microfiber cloth all to try to get the water spots and streaks out & streaks are still there. If you are Type A or like a new sink to actually look new more than the first time use, then this sink is not for you
What can I say? Can a person be in love with a sink? The Kore Workstation is by far the showpiece of my renovated kitchen. It is stylish, functional, beautiful and tough. The plumber and the granite guy both commented "wow, that's an amazing sink!" Friends love the kitchen but always wind up standing at the sink with comments like, "Holy cow!" "This is gorgeous!" "How much is this and where did you buy it?" When I break out the cutting board and silicone rack, they lose their minds. For day to day use, I love it because I don't have to worry about the edges of the sink; with the low-profile drop in lip, the edges of my granite are protected. I can toss utensils and bowls with no worries. Another plus is that I can extend the silicone drying rack and insert the cutting board (thereby covering the sink) and add 33" to my countertops for parties and such. I also chose the Kraus faucet which pairs perfectly. The finger-tip touch to turn it on and off is a delight and the tall pull-down sprayer gives the function of a commercial kitchen in a sleek look. The sink and faucet make me feel like I am in a gourmet kitchen. And for the naysayers who lament about "rust spots" or "blemishes"...I have only had one or two tiny ones and a soft cloth and Ceramabryte (the glass cooktop cleaner) took care of them with no problem and there's been no recurrence. I did learn it is important to use the bottom rack to allow the bottom of the sink to drain and dry...since I did this, no more spots. And the warranties from Kraus can't be beat. I could not recommend this sink and faucet more highly. I hope Kraus comes out with the colander basket soon as this would make this sink the best complete workstation on the market today. I shopped Ticor and others and I'm so glad I went with Kraus. Buy it now and start loving your kitchen again.
This sink is the centerpiece of my remodeled kitchen and I absolutely love it. I cook a lot and the accessories make my life so much easier. I keep the cutting board over the colander and use them daily. I can even slide a dirty pan underneath them and out of the way while it is soaking. The width of the sink still gives me plenty of space to wash and rinse. The drain at the corner makes it very efficient for utilizing space underneath for cabinets. I have a standard cabinet under the drain, plus a drawer base and recycling/trash pullout. My contractor had not done this before but he really liked the result. I had looked at a competitor that was very expense and I believe the Kraüs quality may be even better. If you want a galley-type sink-workstation, this is perfect!
I am extremely happy with my sink purchase! We previously had a two bowl sink that was too shallow. This Krause stainless steel sink is perfect as it it is deep And the water doesn’t end up all over the countertop. It also comes with a dish dryer and cutting board That lay perfectly on top of the sink. Would highly recommend the Krauss Kore stainless steel kitchen sink!
I love this sink! This is my second Kraus sink, but first 'workstation.' We installed it in our new bar. It functions really well, although for this 25" size, you really have to choose between using the cutting board or roll up drainer in order to still have room to use the sink. It has the raised grid at the bottom, which I have come to love in our laundry room and was a must when picking out our bar sink. Also, the super deep sinks are so nice for functionality and keeping a cleaner appearance when dishes are in it. The only thing to keep in mind is that with it being such a deep sink, it can affect the plumbing or what under-cabinet features you might have (like pull out trash, etc.) so plan accordingly.
1) perfect for any kitchen or wet bar area 2) practical set of accessories 3) easy to clean stainless steel single deep bowl 4) modern crisp look
I cannot overstate how wonderful this sink is! Very big so make sure your cabinet is big enough. The drain rack stays on my sink all the time, so helpful. The sloped design is ingenious water never sits in the sink!
I went from the plan old two bowl sink that every home renovation cheaply puts in...to this magnificent beauty. I love the large one bowl area and the way the sink is shaped, it takes advantage of every square inch. The drying rack shelf is so great too as its like bonus counter space. The only con is that its a little annoying to have to clean the bottom of the sink once a week or so as food particles can get stuck.
My contractor told me the Kraus undermount stainless steel sink is of high quality with a good design. Personally, I like the edge around the sink which allows you to put the accessories (cutting board etc.) on top when you are prepping food which gives you extra room. Also, it's spacious so you can put your largest pan inside to wash without having the handle scratching the side of the sink. However, the only thing you need to be careful is that since the drain is on one side instead of in the middle, if you are going to install a garbage disposal (as we did), you might not have room to install a disposal which is too wide/large as it's closer to the cabinet wall underneath.
Looks great and feels solid and heavy. Comes with lots of accessories so no need to buy all the accoutrements separately. Love the size and ease of use of a single bowl sink.
Pros: This sink is huge. I mean it could hold the biggest turkey or pot of chili you could come up with and for that - yaaaassss. Also, solidly made because there is no hollow noise when I put pots, bowls, dishes, etc. in the sink. I have a goose neck pulldown and it is absolutely perfect. Everyone asks me about it. It is a very impressive addition to my kitchen - it is especially "extra" when the cutting board and drying rest are on top. It makes chopping veggies oh so easy and clean up is a breeze. I love that I can dry a few hand washed dishes on the roll out drying rest and not have the countertop cluttered. Cons: This is my first ever square cornered sink. NOT a fan. I feel like it is a real hassle to get all the grime and gook out out of the corners. The finish is pretty and shiny unless you don't use the metal floor drainer insert thing. If you use the drainer insert, it gets grimy and gook forms on the underside. It is so big that it is a real hassle to clean. So overall I would say that I would not buy it again just based on the fact that I like an easy to clean sink BUT if I had a housekeeper to assign the task to - I might because it is quite lovely and impressive.
We bought this on the recommendation of our countertop dealer and are extremely happy and pleased with the quality of this sink. They installed it very easily, its an undermount (so very happy with that), heavy duty 16 gauge steel and it looks beautiful. I love the depth of it and the feel of roominess that I did not have with my other sink. All the extra's that come with this sink are bonuses! Thank you Kraus--I am back to loving doing the dishes!
Love this sink. Can add extra accessories like the colander and prep bowls. Looks very modern. Easy to clean if you get a faucet that can spray into the corners. Would highly recommend.
We purchased the 36 inch sink. We opened the box and looked at everything. The cutting board is darker than the one shown which Im happy about. The sink looks really nice and I can update once our cabinets arrive in a few months and we can install it. My friend does have this same sink and I have used it at her house and love it.
We chose this sink because we loved the clean aesthetic and included accessories. The roll up dish drying rack and cutting board that sits on the inside edge are super well built and look great when not in use. We haven't had any issues with this sink after 6 months of use. The stainless steel rack that protects the bottom of the sink can get grimy, but we've found that throwing it in the dishwasher helps. We love the Kraus product line and are glad we chose it for our remodel!
Delivered on time. Good product and looks great in the kitchen. I do not recall getting the strainer drain with the other accessories in the box. I love the fact the cutting board and drying rack sit in the sink. I finally have my counters clear!
