  • Quality inconsistent, 2/4 chairs lean

Beautiful bar stools but the quality you receive is inconsistent. 2/4 bar stools I received lean and nothing seems to fix them very well and they are now out of stock. I would recommend looking at something else to avoid disappointment. I buy a lot from overstock and this is truly the first time that I have been disappointed with the quality.

These are nice chairs. They have a great style and are easy to clean. However, the center stem is a bit flexible, causing a slight tilt when sitting on them. This is especially apparent on carpet (berber with thin pad) where the base allows additional tilt. For the most part the quality is good, but one of the adjustment handles has the chrome flaked off the tip, likely from impact during shipping.

This is a solid piece of furniture, with the exception of the footrest, which is not as firm as you'd expect. ASSEMBLY PROBLEM (please read!): I went through two barstools and nearly sent them back because the instructions are not accurate. BEFORE you insert the gas operated shaft into the stool seat, you MUST remove the black cap from the end. If you don't the stool wont work at all. This is not in the instructions. Otherwise, it's very easy to assemble. Looks great and works well.
