The curtain rods worked perfectly and were as easy to install as expected. They have handled the weight of the curtains without any problem, the curtains flow smoothly when opening and closing. I am happy with the rods.

These rods are a nice quality, great price for the area I needed to cover and worked out great for the sliding glass door, which was over sized with a panel adjacent. Worked out well.

This was my first time ordering and installing a traverse rod. It sure makes opening and closing easier than a traditional rod. They seemed a little flimsy during installation, but so far they have held up.

I like this type rod with double layer sheer curtains for my mid century modern home with very large windows. The sheets slide open and close so effortlessly. My only concern would be the clips holding heavier draperies.

    • covering a long expanse wasn't hard!
      Verified Purchase

When I decided to put curtains across a 12' expanse, I was pretty intimidated by the idea of installing a 12' curtain rod. This curtain rod was so easy! To top it off, it feels like I can probably use it as a pull-up bar (don't) since it feels so sturdy. I have to admit, I was lucky enough to hit wood on two of the brackets which lends to that. I mounted it very close to the ceiling, so a piece of advice for hanging this is to loosen the screw on top on top of the brackets before screwing the brackets into the wall. Otherwise, you won't be able to put the rods in the brackets. I had to unscrew all the brackets out of the wall to loosen the top screw.

We struggled for so long to find the right solution to our kitchen drapes. We wanted a setup that would allow our heavy drapes to slide easily over 8 feet. A regular rod required a bypass bracket in the middle with C rings. Nothing ever worked and the cost was ridiculous for all the separate pieces, including $35 each for finials! This all-in-one solution worked perfectly for $*!

These curtain rods look great installed over our 2 triple windows! We don't have shades so constantly close our curtains and we needed them to slide with ease and look neat when both opened and closed - these do the trick! I would definitely recommend these.

These are great with the exception that there is an end clip that doesn't move. so if you want to pull the drape to one side, you have to leave the last clip empty, which doesn't look really nice. But it slides easily and looks great otherwise.

    • Just Right!
      Verified Purchase

I put up over a sliding patio door. Sturdy and attractive. Easy to install, four support brackets holds it well with no sagging. Sliders are better than on the flimsier rods. I didn't use the clips, because had already put drapery hooks in for another rod, but they seem to be fine. I would buy another without hesitation.

    • Q:

"Can the rod be cut to shorten? I could buy a larger rod to get more clips and then cut rod to desired length."

      • A:

Unfortunately this type of rod cannot be cut down to a custom size length

    • Q:

"I need more than 154". Can I purchase add'l rods/brackets to add length? Thanks."

      • A:

Sure, I see no reason why not.

      • A:

Yes! I purchased additional rods to achieve a 180" span. I ended up having one small piece I couldn't use, but I used that on a small window and was able to take use end caps/finials that weren't used from the multiple rods. Fantastic rods.

    • Q:

"Does the rod length include the finial?"

      • A:

Yes, the rod length includes the finials.

    • Q:

"Will I be ble to fasten a standard pole type sheer curtain (no pinch pleat, tie or tab either) directly onto the clip? I am assuming that the clips are included in the rod mechanism. Is that correct? Thanks."

    • Q:

"can this be set to a center pull or is it only from one side to the other?"

      • A:

Either one. We have several rods going across our 12' patio door/window and have one of the mounting brackets in the middle. Curtains are drawn from either side. We don't use a pull, though, we just push the curtains over.

    • Q:

"Can the rods be doubled up or is there a double rod available?"

    • Q:

"Are these rods ceiling mount capable?"

      • A:

No, they cannot be ceiling mounted.

      • A:

The bracket mounting is designed for a 90 degree angle.

      • A:

        No, they are not.

    • Q:

"What is the diameter of this rod?"

      • A:

1 & 1/2 inch in diameter. If asking for finals your going to have a very hard time finding other ones, if for you want to mount double curtains at the same window door or wherever your having them, I just bought a whole other seperate rod system(non traverse) and got brakets for those that are adjustable so I could have one out further then the other as well I just mounted the brakets right above the others whatever way you would like it to be which one as the decorative and I use the curtains in the traverse rod for their actual purpose and got black out ones that make the room really dark, and the second is used as decorative and always pulled to the side and tied to the curtain hold backs and with the curtains you can't even tell it's not an actual one piece double braket. Hope that helps and I answered that and more for you

    • Q:

"I purchased this rod but there were no finials included in the packaging. Were they supposed to be purchased separately?"

      • A:

I too didn't receive the end caps. I called the customer service number from the company and they mailed them right to me.

    • Q:

"Can you tell me how many clips are on the 86" sized rod?"

      • A:

There are 20 pieces for the 86 rod and the 30 pieces if you get the next size up.

    • Q:

"Is there any way to get more sliders/clips?"

      • A:

We would not be able to modify the product.

    • Q:

"Why is there end slider different and does it move?"

      • A:

The sliders glide freely for one-way or center-open movement.

    • Q:

"Hi! I need to cover a wall of windows, 237 inches, can I purchase two sets of your longest rods (110 to 156 inch) and connect them to make 1 long contiuous rod?"

      • A:

This item is not able to connect to form one continuous rod.

    • Q:

"Are brackets available for double rods?"

      • A:

Hello kestarr, we do not have brackets available for double rods for this model. Thanks for shopping with us!

    • Q:

"Can additional clips be purchased and added to the rod?"

      • A:

Hello Poochette, this will not hold additional clips. Thanks for shopping with us!

    • Q:

"what would the stack be on a 86"x120" rod when fully opened?"

      • A:

Hello Linda, that will depend on what panel you use. Thanks for shopping with us!

    • Q:

"Can you omit clips if need to?"

      • A:

Hello esc4eve, yes the clips are removable. Have a great day!

      • A:

I just hung on the wire loops that hold the clips, clips go behind the drapes and aren't visible, so I think the answer is yes.

    • Q:

"Why did you choose this product?"

      • A:

        drapes

      • A:

Cheaper than buying the rod and the rings separate

      • A:

Needed a small traverse rod to fit in a very tight area in our bedroom; over the french doors & a window yet under a beam and going into a very tight corner with angled ceiling. This rod looks to be perfect - fingers crossed it fits.

      • A:

I had ordered this same rod in a 96" length and loved it - this smaller one is for another window in the same room

      • A:

        i needed 155 inches:)

      • A:

        Long enough, unobtrusive finial.

      • A:

Was searching for a cordless traverse rod for two patio doors. Liked this one because it had two addl middle supports, rather than the usual one middle support.

      • A:

I chose this rod because it is cordless. I really need the color nickle but you don't show that. I hope the pewter will be close to the same color I have in the adjoining room. And the price is much better than one I saw on another web site.

      • A:

        looks easy to use

      • A:

It had everything I was searching for in a traverse rod.
