This humidifier looks like a piece of art, but this amazing piece of technology actually keeps you healthy - it was designed to look like a vase so that it blends into your decor! This humidifier comes with 3 nozzle sizes so that you can attach the smallest nozzle (22.5") and set the humidifier on a table top so that it looks like a vase. The medium nozzle (32") allows for both the floor and table placement and the tallest nozzle (shown above 44") is best for floor placement. I love it on the floor because it really makes a statement. The tank holds up to 9.5 pints of water and the water will last up to 45 hours per fill. This humidifier covers a room up to 650 square feet, and the unit produces up to 2.5 gallons of mist each day. My family and pets thrive through the winter, where before we suffered from dry skin, chapped lips and many nose bleeds. No more. There's an empty tank indicator that beeps when the tank needs refilling. The unit also comes with a remote control (shaped like a water drop naturally!) that allows you to control not only the off and on functions, but also the 8 mist level settings. The mist is a nice cool mist and the unit is fairly quiet when running. The running sound would NOT interfere with sleep, it's that quiet. What I love about the Luma Comfort Humidifier is that in addition to keep my home comfortable and healthy, it looks phenomenal. It's stylish and works really well. Many of my friends have asked me what it is and comment on how cool it looks. I also love that there's no plastic, see-through box of water sitting in the corner of my rooms anymore, which is what other humidifiers look like to me! This humidifier is worth every penny in my opinion. Disclosure: I was provided this product to facilitate my review and form my opinion, however my opinion remains 100% my own.
I'll make this short and sweet for you - this unit looks great and performs better. My new house gets incredibly dry, and I was worried about the the wood doors and cabinets. Not to mention it can just be really uncomfortable. My parents bought me one of these after listening to me complain about it for so long, and its really great. First off, this humidifier looks great, like a designer appliance, especially with the mist flowing out of the top of the vase. It puts out a ton of mist, and seems to be able to run for a long time without needing to refill the tank. Refilling it is easy, and takes maybe 45 secs. Remote control is also a bonus, no need to get up and walk over to turn it off when I go out for the day. I guess you can totally adjust the height, but I've just left it so far since I like how it looks. The extra pieces look good though.
I like this humidifier, it's reasonably priced, runs quiet and have a huge water tank. It also has a remote and a built-in humidistat. But, (and this is a huge one) I have a feeling whoever designed this humidifier never had to use one on a regular basis. The water tank cannot sit upside down by itself for you to refill the water. You must hold the tank carefully to fill it up. It's also made of shiny plastic so it's very slippery and will tip over if you are not careful. This is the classic "function following form" I probably won't buy it again if I had known about this shortcoming. Another issue is that I got 2 of these and both do not stop when they hit the desired humidity. I don't have a major issue with it... Just want to pass that info on.
