Was looking for something like this w/wheels so I could wheel it from under the counter to the washer. This is real handy! When I did get it I hadn't realized that my damp towels would be going into one of these and I didn't want them sitting in the canvas-like material damp. So, I took a large garbage liner and hooked it over one of the bags so we can just drop our wet towels in it w/o my worrying about mold forming on the canvas.
I have Sjogrens Disease, so Dryness is a big deal for me. Started using it about a week ago. I can say this my eyes are doing much better in the morning, and my mouth is feeling better as well. I love how quiet it is, and that I do not have to worry about mold forming. Also great that I do not have to fill it very often. so far I have filled it once, and it was not empty yet. It had been running a week 3 days.
We have three border collies in our house, and the shedding, mud, pondscum, and whatever else they dredge in tends to break vacuums. When our last one bit the dust, we decided to look for something that would last longer. We wanted a bagged upright, with a simple/serviceable design, long warranty, and of course good capability as a vacuum. After reading several online reviews, we decided to give the Prolux 7000 a try.
We received it a couple days later. It required minimal assembly and was ready to use in about five minutes. Our first test was to clean up all the messes that had accumulated in the couple weeks we spent looking for a new vacuum, and it delivered wonderfully. What would have taken ten passes with our old vacuum took one or two with the new one. We have a mixture of tile and carpet in our house.
We really like that the vacuum isn't a bagless one. They're the most common type nowadays, but after owning both types I feel that the bagless thing is a gimmick. Our allergies have been significantly better, and the vacuum itself stays much cleaner.
After a few months, my wife complained that it wasn't picking on our tile floor anymore. I started investigating and was impressed by the simplicity of the design. There was a clog in one of the hoses, but it was easy to get to and only took a minute to fix. Clogs have been a regular occurrence with every single vacuum we've ever had, but they've never been as easy to correct as with the Prolux and seem to occur much less often. More importantly, though, I don't see anywhere a clog could form that would be difficult to get to or fix. I attribute this mostly to the bagged vs bagless design, once again.
I highly recommend this vacuum. It vacuums great, is serviceable, and has a seven year warranty. A++
