The "instruction manual" enclosed with the unit was lacking a lot of information so I looked online for a manual. I printed a more complete looking manual which had more information but also was incomplete. It was only when a friend who also owns the unit showed me how to use it that I could use it.
Bought it 18mos ago when our older dog started to have accidents before he died. The machine works as advertised, which is very well. I would give it a 5-star rating, except it stopped working correctly (does not lay down liquid), so it's useless. Warranty is only 12 months, and the closest service center is 65 miles from us. With today's price of fuel, it's probably not worth it to travel that far plus pay a service fee instead of buying another one. And yes, I would still buy another one; just hope the next one lasts longer.
This is the 2nd Accucharge we have purchased. The first one lasted a little over 2 years, which is fine for the Amazon price we paid. We accept the flaws as stated in other reviews but have a major concern with the new purchase. The red "charging" light has not gone out since it was plugged in 2 days ago. An email to Customer Service was replied to promptly but we are not sure we believe the reply which was, "For the new 2013 models, the charger will turn off once the unit is done charging. THE LIGHT WILL CONTINUE TO GLOW AS LONG AS THE UNIT IS CONNECTED TO THE CHARGER". The Instruction Manual which came with the unit and the one available on the Dirt Devil website states "Charging light turns off when Hand Vac is fully charged". We are afraid the unit is overcharging and may cause a FIRE.
I am a Mother of three wild and crazy kids who track in dirt every time they come in from playing outside. I vacuum the usually once a week since I work full time and run my blog part time. When I look for a vacuum I look for something that is light weight, easy to assemble and one that will actually suck up all the dirt possible. For years we have been using a Royal vacuum which we have been happy with until last week. We had the opportunity to review a HOOVER WIND TUNNEL and let me tell you I couldn't wait to try it out. Especially since I have never used a canister vacuum before. When the vacuum arrived we pulled it out of the box in three pieces. This product was easy to assemble and super light weight to maneuver around the furniture. My kids were even excited to use and it was so lightweight my three year old could push it around with no problem. So once we finished the living room and dining room, I was totally disgusted with all the junk it picked up. I had just had my carpets steam cleaned two weeks prior and vacuumed a week prior. The canister approx. a quarter of the way filled with dust, dirt, hair and other yucky stuff. I was so impressed with this vacuum. I love it and will recommend it to all of my readers. "I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own."
