I bought this a few years ago to replace a much older model. The old one had the internal hose break where it bends at the base. I have had two problems with the new one. The plastic around the valve at the bottom of the fill tank is very thin and it broke. I repaired it with JB Weld and it should work fine for years. The valve under the detergent tank sticks open when I take the tank off. Detergent gushes until I pop it closed with my finger. Today I ran warm water into the tank while I pushed the valve open and closed repeatedly, rotating the inner part of the valve occasionally. It doesn't seem to stick anymore. This is still a fantastic machine and cleans much better than the old one, and it is much easier to keep cleaned out.
Overall a good buy. It is a lot quieter than the last humidifier that we had and not having an icky filter to change is very nice. We have only used it for a week but seems to work well. Our sick toddler has slept much better since we started using it. It is very quiet except for an internal dripping sound. Nice design and excellent night light.
We've owned one for years. It's easy to use and clean. It gets up old and new stains from pets, spills, etc. We've had no problems with it until now. The drive belt gear wear, due to much use gave out and separated. Though this part is easily accessible when replacing the belt; it is considered to be an internal part and cannot be purchased for replacement. For such a good product, the SpotLifter has a sore spot. The plastic gear has a wear problem due to plastic weakness and a non-replacement option.
