We bought this on Saturday at[@]and the price was amazing since it was on clearance. I love the way my carpet looks and it did not leave my carpet wet and smelly for a day or two until it dried. It dried the same day which was awesome and the house smelled great!
This hamper has kind of a big price tag. Chose the darker color. It's nice enough looking, fairly sturdy, but to me, it does not really look like it cost what I paid for it. Maybe it's the finish. It is not lacquered or coated in any way. Do be sure you measure the space you intend for it to occupy carefully!! I though I had...but turns out, I didn't really account for clearance between hamper and doorway--too tight, it turns out. So now, it is placed in my hallway, as shipping it back would be too much $$.
I was really impressed with this lightweight, yet powerful little vacuum. It was super easy to put together and get started. All of the neon green pieces are "action" pieces. You either pull them to release a hose, or push them to turn it on, or to turn off/on the brush. Once I started using it, the first thing I noticed was how light the vacuum was & how easy it was to push all around the floor. Even though it was lightweight the suction was very powerful. It was like the vacuum head just clamped down onto the carpet. It was able to get up a lot of pet hair, sand, and all of the regular dirt our two kids bring in every day. The collection bin is super easy to clean. Press one button to release it from the vacuum, then press another button that opens a trapdoor on the bottom, and you don't have to pull the dirt out, turn it upside down, or anything else to get your hands dirty. A feature I really liked was the ability to turn off the brush, so it picks up dirt off of our wood floors, and doesn't kick it out the back, like our old one did. The Hoover Windtunnel was also much easier to get into difficult to reach locations like under the couch & in the corners. It doesn't seem to have as high of a clearance on top enabling it to move under furniture easier & it swivels around easily in the corners. The accessories store easily, but are not exactly the easiest to use. When the hose is disconnected from the brush head, it makes a sharp bend up and I worry that could become a friction point on the hose later. You also have to attach an extra hose to get any real reach, then attach that end to the accessory, making it inconvenient. The cord is nice and long, and overall, the vacuum is easy to maneuver. I would give it four out of five stars, and I would definately recommend it to others as a lightweight, but easy to use vacuum. Disclosure: I received a sample of this produce to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.
