We needed a 2nd desk in our office to get organized and wanted to match it up with the oak furniture we already had. This desk is perfect. It's expensive and sleek look makes our office complete. It was easy to put together, only the legs need to be attached. Gotta love that!
We purchased this desk years ago. It was easy to assemble and functional, but we left it unfinished while we furnished the rest of the house and decided what color to stain it. Well, we finally got around to staining it, and it turned out wonderfully. I lightly sanded the desk then used a Minwax stain and polyurethane to match a mission-style oak bed in our guest room. The wood grain of the desk does not compare to oak, (and I wouldn't expect it to) but since the colors are close it fits in well in the room.
This mission oak corner desk was very easy to assemble. Bolting the three side/back braces, pre-assembled top, and L-shaped bottom shelf together took less time than unpacking the whole thing! I purchased this desk for small-space living and it's a perfect compliment to the mission style book cases I've had for several years, along with a nice quality TV table from Ashley Furniture. All three are a slightly different color and style, but very much in the same tonal range, so they go well together. This corner laptop desk is a rich, dark reddish brown and it's just beautiful looking. I am very satisfied with the quality of construction, weight, and substance, and have already earmarked companion pieces in the same family for future purchase.
