The 'look' of this counter height table is better than expected. The tabletop is very authentic and thick with a good cross grain look to it. Also, I was very happy to find that the finish on the wood tabletop is nice and smooth - just slightly irregular/uneven and 'plank looking' in keeping with the real wood texture but very smooth to the touch which is exactly my preference. The size is perfect with plenty of width and depth. The metal is a very attractive dark bronze look and the legs come down to a point that is nice and flat so one of those little size felt furniture stickies on each table 'foot' was all we needed for perfect placement on our hardwood floors. There were some missing screws and Overstock offered to send a replacement table but then I called Hillsdale directly and they could not have been nicer - express mailed several replacement screws ...very good customer service. I had to take off a star because unfortunately the table is a bit 'wobbly' unlike the answer I received to my question about its sturdiness. All in all, a great way to offer my family a spot to eat and watch TV just behind the sofa - and keep my family room attractive and updated - very cool urban look...I ordered the matching end table to tie the style into the room.

I love this table! We put it directly behind our couch with some counter height stools to add extra seating in our basement family room as we entertain a lot. It is good quality with a unique look that makes it really nice. Highly recommend.
