  • Love the bed, despite being complicated to build

Love everything about the bed - very sturdy, nice quality, nice color and you can't beat the price. My only warning is that it's not super simple to put together. It took two of us 4 hours to put it all together, my friend is very experienced at putting these types of things together. But in my opinion, that's a fair price to pay for an inexpensive, quality bed.

we bought this for *** and would say that is a fair deal for this. the build quality is quite good. the colors are accurate to the picture (headboard looks a little bit more grey in person). we would really like to use this bed frame.. but... there is a huge, and i mean HUGE flaw. either the picture taken is incorrect or the company was trying to fool people. to explain further first take a look at the picture. you notice that the mattress is only sticking out about 4-6 inches. so most people would assume that is what your final product will be as well. WRONG! the fault lies in the bed itself. for example, there at these wooden slats you screw into the frame, which unfortunately are only about 2 inches below the edge of the top part of the bed frame. what this basically means is, lets say you have a 14 inch thick mattress (as we do). after you assemble the bed, and place the mattress onto the frame, TWELVE of the 14 inches is sticking out above the frame! this is no exaggeration, we measured it. what does this mean? it means almost HALF of the headboard is now hidden behind the mattress. Does that look like the case in the picture? nope! far from it. so now we are stuck with a situation. either we return the bed (which we dont want to do b/c it does look really nice) or modify the bed frame ourselves, lower the slats, which due to how the rest of the bed is built is a lot more difficult than it may sound (it would involve cutting some boards and screwing them lower into place etc. OR buy a whole new mattress. if not for this HUGE issue, it would have gotten 5 stars. At this point we are not sure what to do with it.
