These are suprisingly stable when filled with water to hold beach umbrellas. Easy to empty when done so not so heavy to carry.
Worked out great. We enjoy it
The plastic base seemed strong and can be portable if needed. The pole that screws to the bottom of the base locks in pretty well. A couple issues I had was the base pole after being screwed in tended to lean. Perhaps mine may have had a defect. If you add sand plus water, it seems it would be hard to empty since there's only 1 hole to add your weight of water or sand.
This base fits perfectly, between the legs of my new Polywood table. The base that came with my patio umbrella was much too large for the 18 inches of space available. The adapter parts are all there to fit any size umbrella pole.
Good product. Bought this with a 15 ft long umbrella. Well thought out piece. Has carrying handle and an adapter to go from 1.9 inches to the next smaller size. Plug is only big enough to make it feasible to add water not sand. Holds a 15 ft by 9 ft umbrella just fine.
This umbrella stand is great! Easy to fill with water and great for the price. I searched everywhere for a reasonably priced umbrella stand and most were not sturdy or were way too expensive. Thus stand fulfilled both the sturdy criteria and the lower price tag. I highly recommend this item.
If you're looking for super, duper heavy, heavy weight base look no further. This is it. It's as attractive as any other umbrella base and a whole lot more sturdy.

This is a great umbrella base. Was shipped really fast. We are going to fill it with sand so we get the extra weight to hold it on our deck.
