It's sleek and looks great in the room. But the air is still dry even with the humidifier on and I have combination type skin. If you have dry skin, try another humidifier. The unit is heavy to move when the water is filled to max (if you need to move it). After an overnight use, you would need to refill the water again, so it is troublesome. Instructions tell you to keep it away from everything including the wall or it might cause a fire when the heater gets too hot. So far, no problems with that. The website says it is quiet, it isn't that quiet. The higher the fan speed, the more noisier. There's no remote control so when you're in bed and it gets too warm and you want to lower it or shut it off, you need to get out of bed - every night. Overall, this unit was overpriced for its simple functions.
So far, everything is perfect! Our NewAir Electric Oil-filled Radiator is very efficient at heating our large master bedroom. It takes about 5 minutes to really get warm, but by about 20 minutes our entire bedroom is well heated. One thing to keep in mind is that the radiator will continue to radiate heat for several minutes after it is turned off as the oil cools down. Pros: It is so quiet!!! Because there is no fan the only thing you'll hear as this heats up your space to your desired temperature is an occasional "crackle" of oil. It won't dry out your skin or your air. If you're prone to dry skin you'll love this space heater. And, can I get a "Hurrah! For no more static shocks!" Non-scorching surfaces. The metal surfaces get warm to the touch, but never hot enough to burn if brushed against accidentally. Energy efficient. Electric heaters are almost 100% efficient, which means that all the energy used is converted directly to heat. An oil-filled heater doesn't even have to provide power for a fan motor. Thermostat controlled. Once the area or room reaches a comfortable temperature, oil-filled heaters will automatically cycle on and off to maintain that warmth, instead of running continuously, saving you money while preventing overheated rooms. Comes with a remote so you don't even have to get out of bed or up off the couch to turn off the heater. We haven't run into any Cons yet, but I'll update if we do. Disclosure: I received the NewAir AH-450B as a review item. The opinions expressed are honest and are entirely my own. No monetary compensation was provided.
Loved a few features in this heater: - Lightweight - Portability - Quick heating of fairly large spaces - Overheating Control Feature --> a must in every electric device! - Remote control feature
