had to modify the mounting hardware because my child has a low platform (7") box spring under her mattress and the mounting boards did not have holes for this height box spring, we ended up flipping the mounting boards upside down and cutting off 5 -6 inches from the "top" end.
Shipped fast. Looks just like the picture. A little more assembly than we ever expected from a headboard, but the end results looks good. The problem is that when you attach it to the frame, the headboard takes up about 4 inches towards the frame, so it bumps your mattress off the end of the frame, or you lose 4 inches of the bed "under" the headboard. Losing length on a Queen bed is not good, especially when it comes to a guest bed. Change that, and I'd give it 5 stars.
I ordered the Emma Queen Headboard and received the Louise Headboard which is taller by about 7 or 8 inches and the width is 53 inches versus 67 inches, as Emma Queen Headboard was described. The leg shape at the bottom is also different. The quality is very good and it looks very similar as pictured; however, the measurement is quite different. I would have preferred the Emma due to the fact that it is shorter and would have looked nicer under the window where I have to place it. Due to the room's configuration, I can only place it under the window.
I read the previous reviews, and noted all of the places it said there are two sets of holes in the legs for attaching -- one for an Eastern King, and one for a California King. I have a Califoria King. Maybe it's a difference in the frame size which makes neither of the holes in the legs match to the frame of my California King. BUT the holes in the metal stretcher piece at the bottom DID correspond with the holes in my bed frame. I put one inch pieces of wood under the legs, screwed the stretcher frame holes to the bed frame (nuts, washers and bolts for doing this step are not provided -- only screws for putting the headboard together are in the package, along with a hex wrench), and the entire thing took only about an hour, with the help of my terrific boyfriend and including a walk to the local hardware store for nuts, bolts and lock washers. It looks GREAT, and was VERY EASY to assemble.
