We got this for our 13 year old son's bed. He loves it. It's simple, contemporary, and mature looking, and doesn't attract attention. It's held up very well over the last year. It wasn't quite the right height for our frame and mattress (we don't have a box spring), so we asked our contractor to cut down the legs a little and attach the headboard to our wooden box frame. This was easy for him to do. The net result was that there is no gap between the mattress and the headboard--so aesthetically it looks nice, practically, nothing falls behind the headboard, and for comfort, there is no gap for pillows or lower back to push through if one is sitting in bed, leaning against the headboard.
My 21 year old son found this headboard for an AWESOME deal. I was skeptical because of the price but I went ahead and purchase 2 based upon the pics and reviews. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the looks when I opened the box. Very appealing to the eye. The legs store in the back of the headboard so moving becomes easier as it all stays together. It is on the lighter side and it is not a headboard for a lifetime but it is definitely worth the purchase price. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The only drawback is that it does not come with the hardware to attach to your bedframe. That has to be purchased separately which of course can be found at any hardware store.
