Bought this headboard a year ago, in king size. It is more stunning in person, I get compliments all the time. Very well constructed, the padding and buttons are tight and do not sag anywhere, the nailhead trim is evenly spaced. A quick brush with a lint brush removes all dust and pet hair. Only "complaint" is the legs on it. The way it was designed, the legs are supposed to be attached to the back of the headboard, rather than underneath it, so you would have this weird block of wood sticking out a few inches at the top of each leg, and the headboard would not lay flat against the wall, especially if the legs are against the baseboards. and you cannot adjust the height on them, so the top mattress would hit the bottom of the headboard and stick out a couple of inches above the box spring. So I took off the legs and mounted the headboard directly to the wall at the correct height, using a heavy duty French cleat.
The padded headboard we purchased is well constructed and looks very good. The price on OS was close to the cost of the materials it would have required to make a similar headboard myself. We are very pleased.
I bought an adjustable queen bed base and needed a headboard. My prior bed had a sleigh type frame, so not usable with the base. It took awhile to coordinate the width of the headboard attachments of the base to the width of the headboard legs, but the easily understandable instructions helped. Plan on it being a two person job to install and reposition the bed against the wall. The headboard itself came well-packaged with no damage. The dark brown leather is smooth with no defects. it is well padded for a rich look and feel. It was very easy to attach the legs to the headboard. The legs are metal, so the headboard is not wobbly. The legs also have hanging holes if you want to attach the headboard directly to the wall instead of the bed frame. Would absolutely recommend this item.
