My headboard arrived yesterday. I was able to put it together by myself in around one hour. It was missing instructions for the side wings, but I was able to figure it out... I think! I would describe the linen talc color as more of an "oak" color - light in nature with flecks of beige brown running through. The linen material does look less expensive than the linen at some of the higher quality stores I was looking at other headboards at. My only problem with this headboard is there are big gaps between the mattress and headboard at the far corners of the bed. When my bed is nicely made with all of the pillows on it really annoys me. I think I need to buy some big euro shams to keep at either corner to cover it up. A big, fluffy pillow top might also add the three inches to my mattress height that will help cover the corners. I wish the back of the headboard came down 3-4 more inches to eliminate this issue.
Needed a King headboard that would blend with an oak bedroom set. This worked well. However, the bed has a high profile mattress so not much of the headboard is seen once the pillows are on the bed.
I love my new king sized bookcase headboard! It was easy to put together and looks exactly like the picture. The (cherry) color was true and I'm glad I bought it.....great price as well!
