"I bought the “natural” Adirondack chair. Is the wood treated? Am wanting to stain and am wondering how to go about it."
The chairs are good - but we bought a pair of Havenside chairs a few weeks earlier. Planned to do that again, but only the single chairs were available. The pair we bought earlier were made from a better, and more durable wood. These single chairs are from Douglas Fir. Not bad. Just not AS good as the first pair. Still very good value for money.

Awful quality. Wood was already split even before assembling—see picture. The chairs are all in pieces, you have to put it together piece by piece, more like a build your chair kit. And after hours of putting it together, the he last screw (arm rest) doesn’t even fit. Quality is super cheap and chairs are much smaller than usual Adirondack chairs. Not worth the trouble. I purchased 3, assembled one that can’t be return because I am not taking it down (too much trouble) and won’t fit in its box. Returning the other two even with the charge of $25+ PER chair to return. Do not buy.

Great quality chairs. There is a lot of assembly required as they come with individual boards but my husband was able to assemble four fairly quickly.

Build it before making an opinion
Very nice. When they arrived in a small box I initially thought that this couldn’t be good. I was wrong. They look great. Easy to build if you have an electric screwdriver or a drill with a Phillips head drill bit. Comfy to sit on. I am glad I bought them

If you want to own one of the poorest excuses for an Adirondack chair, buy this product! Came in about 40 loose pieces, none were marked, and the instruction diagram were basically stick figures about 1/2" big; so basically most of the pieces looked the same in the drawing. It is bare wood without any waterproofing stain. I bought the blue and much of the paint/stain came off on my fingers as I put the first one together (I bought 4, and will be returning 3 and selling the one I put together at a garage sale). Best way I can describe the paint job is like an Easter egg that you very briefly dipped into the food coloring and immediately pulled out. That, or like a child's watercoloring set was used to paint them. STAY AWAY from this product! Even for the low price paid, It's garbage. I am a very skilled person, can take anything apart and put it together in no time. This thing took me 1 hour to just figure out what pieces were what.

Beautiful Solid Wood Chairs
The directions made it easy to put the chairs together. The chairs are great quality, very sturdy and I LOVE that they fold up too!
