Came just as advertised and provides us with a nice little desk to do our work on.
This was great for the second small bedroom I had. The only downside I'd say is that it's pretty heavy and if you don't have a stud to nail into (I had plaster walls) you may need to hire help to hang it.
I did a lot of research before settling on this desk. I wanted something that would be sturdy when down and looked great when up! My daughter has used it while she was in college and now I use it! We installed in a spare bedroom so live the fact that I can "put it away" when we have guests.
Great fall down desk if you don't have the space are use it in my small bedroom when I need it I put it down worse great easy to put together and hang up
I purchased this 10 years ago when I was a grad student. I'm not sure how it's considered a recent purchase for review? It was fine but I now have a bigger space with a 5' desk. If your a student living in a small space this is good for you
The Murphy Black Fold-Out Convertible Desk is easy to install, beautiful to look at whether the desk is folded up or down, and will look great in any space. Delivery was fast and desk arrived in great condition.
Love this desk. I'm typing from my computer on it right now. No cons...all pros. I use mine as a permanent set-up for my desktop pc, but it's really easy to fold away, should you prefer to use as a temporary laptop or work desk. Bottom line: What you see is what you get. A good thing, in this case.
Just what I needed. Two notes of caution. The mounting hardware is insufficient. I got extra wall brackets to secure this from the bottom. Second, make sure you measure the proper wall height to mount the desk or else your desk will be on a slope.
Loved it. Perfect size, heavy weight and sturdy build.
I still have this Murphy desk. It has lived throuygh rain and people that don't really take great care of it. Regardless it still works, it's quite sturdy and when closed doesn't take up any space. It is very heavy!
