These have a little more detail then the usual bar pulls you see everywhere. I got them because they are a perfect match to my stove. They are substantial looking and are perfect for some of the larger drawers in the kitche. They are easy to clean, just a soft cloth and some soap.
I was looking for some bronze hardware for my "budget" kitchen update. All the bronze styles that I seemed to like in the chain home/hardware stores were averaging $6/piece, some upwards of $10 or more. $6-$10 may not sound like alot, but when you need 20, it really starts to add up, and cabinet hardware was only 1 component of my kitchen project. I found this cabinet hardware on Overstock for literally 1/3 the price, the EXACT same style as one I'd seen and liked in a chain store. $2.50 each! C'mon! I was stuck working with 2 existing 3"-apart holes in each cabinet door/drawer, and their versatility lets them function equally well as knobs or pulls. Plus, being rather simple in design, I think they'd work in both traditional and modern style kitchens. My new backsplash will probably look dated before my hardware does. They're solid, substantial, and have a lovely warm color finish. Some of the bronze hardware I found to be too dark, almost black. Like I said, I needed 20, so I was lucky enough to order the precise number I needed. But even if I'd ended up w/a few left over, I'd have used them as back-ups and still considered this a fantastic deal. I really liked this hardware and had resigned myself to paying full price for them in a store. Finding them for so much less on O'stock makes me love them that much more. PS--an important consideration when going w/oil-rubbed bronze hardware/fixtures is that the bronze is a "finish," not the color of the metal itself, so you can't scrub these things like you can a metal like stainless steel. The finish WILL chip or get rubbed away if you use abrasive sponges or cleaning products on it.
I was repainting my old cabinets and used these hinges to replace the really old tired ones that have been painted over... a few times. I marked its quality as "GOOD" in my review because they are not soft closing hinges. I don't know if that even exists for the face mounted ones. I would recommend these to use to anyone who is repainting the cabinets and replacing the hardware. The price was excellent and the hinges look great when installed.
It's a "t" bar, it's 2inches long, you drill a hole and screw that puppy in. It matches the 6 inch ones I got, but they at least had the screws included...some bozo forgot them with the 2 inchers, maybe they figured anything 2 inches long wouldn't be screwing? Who knew? Overstock contacted GR and then sent me screws post haste, I will keep them for another project since I just went out and got screws to fit them because who wants to wait a week, not my impatient hunny! Anyway these are good substantial pulls, they look very nice and updated my kitchen and cut down on my cleaning times since I am not scrubbing greasy fingerprints off the cabinets anymore.
