dZi Inc. has been working with artisans in the Tibetan exile community in India since 1990 and Nepal since 1995, an area of Eastern Nepal that is one of the most isolated in the country. They begin by seeking out what makes our remote partner communities special, and what elements of their lives they seek to preserve. Their products celebrate the beautiful, timeless crafts and artwork using a multitude of sustainably sourced materials. All products are hand-crafted by skilled artisans working in a fair trade production center. Work by this group has led to the development of schools in these areas and long-term economic relationships to strengthen the communities. Each of their 13 partner communities faces complex challenges that require long-term holistic solutions. Their projects profoundly improve the quality of life for all 44,123 people in these communities, bringing prosperity that will last for generations.
