Due to the handmade nature of this rug, there may be slight variations in size and design. HERAT ORIENTAL is proud to have been providing authentic, handmade rugs to Worldstock for over 10 years, creating jobs for over 2,000 local village weavers and supporting their families. The majority of these weavers are women from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. As HERAT ORIENTAL grows with Worldstock, more jobs are created for these weavers who might not have had the opportunity otherwise. The local community also benefits from rug weaving, with farmers benefiting from wool sales and artisans creating natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.
