Story Behind the Art:-
My name is Luh Mas Sri Pertamiari and was born on December 13th 1973 in Mas village. The village is renowned as woodcarving center in Bali from many years ago. We may familiar with man carver, however the fantastic thing is that almost 90% of the women know how to carve. From such young age boys and girls have been introduce to learn how to carve.  "When I was a child, together with my two brothers, we learned from the very basic of carving wood, painting, and sanding. We get paid for each thing we finish and save the money to pay school.   "Graduated from Senior High School I continued to Hotel and Tourism Academy for at that moment tourism field was a very promising career. I worked at a hotel once, however, after I married with I Made Sanjaya, he asked me to quit my job and take care of our children at home. I'm a kind of active women, and totally stop my activities and stay home has driven me crazy. For that reason I started to do some carvings at home, open a small showroom near my house as a place to show and sell my wooden products and other woodcarving made by relatives.
