• This unique rug was handmade by village weavers in the Hamadan region of Iran. As a result of the handmade nature of the rugs, there may be slight variations in size and design. With over 10 years of experience providing beautiful, authentic, handmade rugs, HERAT ORIENTAL has been able to create jobs for over 2,000 local village weavers, the majority of whom are women from villages in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. The community also benefits from rug weaving as local farmers benefit from wool sales and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for weavers to use in their designs.
