Story Behind the Art:
The design of this rug originates in the Iranian city of Mahal, however the design was copied and re-created in India and virtually identical in design, workmanship and authenticity as the originals. Weavers of the Mahal design use the asymmetrical or Persian knot, giving their rugs exceptional softness and flexibility. Natural dyes are used to give the rugs their rich colors. This particular rug was made in the Sultanabad village by women weavers and brought to the bazaar for sale. The wool of the Mahal rugs is hand spun from the weaver's own sheep.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Nice feel and high quality
This rug is the right size and the quality is very good. However, it is not Beige and gold it is gray and brown. The colors do not contrast beautifully as in the photo, they are dull, flat and somewhat blend into each other.
the color is way off, no real difference throughout the rug, just different beiges and golds...
I was so pleased with my earlier order of a much larger rug for the living room that I leapt at the chance to get this small rug for the guest bath. The photo image makes it look stunning: crisp, pastel, soft. It was nothing like the image--instead, murky, dingy, and cheap looking, with grayer colors that fade into each other. Very disappointing.
Rug arrived very quickly and well wrapped. The pile is very thick and comfortable to walk on. I purchased this small size as a test to see if the colors match my room. The colors are not as described- the gold is more marigold, slightly darker or burnt yellow than what I expected. The background is gray- not beige. The quality of the rug is good and if it weren't for the color, I would have ordered the same rug in a larger size. I would recommend the product based on the quality as long as you don't care as much about the color accuracy.
