These rugs are made by Mahmood Alam and his family. They arehand-knotted in their own homes, and everyone in the family helpsout in the process of rug making, from his wife, Shakiba, to theyoungest daughter. They process the wool, themselves in their home,prior to making the rugs. All washing, spinning and dyeing of thewool are done in their home.
