• This rug was recreated by Jaipur village weavers in the Jodhpur region of India with virtually identical design, workmanship, and authenticity as the original Tabriz rugs. The rug is hand-tufted using a pre-woven grid foundation where weavers insert yarn into the rug backing with a hand-held tufting gun to push and pull the threads through. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come. The majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, providing them with opportunities and empowering their communities.
