Story Behind the Art:

• This particular rug was re-created by weavers in the Bhadohi village of the Varanasi region of India. Due to the handmade nature of these rugs, the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches. The majority of the weavers are women from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, and with each purchase, we are able to create more job opportunities for female weavers who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to do so. The community thrives from rug weaving as local farmers benefit from wool sales, and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.
