• Handcrafted by master craftsmen in the Bhadohi province of India, this rug is created using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. The weavers use special tools to create their designs and weave the rugs, resulting in a unique blend of traditional and modern techniques. Because of the handmade nature of our rugs, the size may vary from what is advertised by 3-4 inches. The majority of our weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, and by creating more jobs for female weavers, we are able to support their communities. Rug weaving also benefits local farmers through wool sales, and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.
