• This rug was recreated by village weavers in the Bhadohi region of India using traditional techniques. The weavers do everything from shearing and washing the wool to dyeing and weaving the rugs by hand. Due to the handmade nature of the product, the size may vary slightly from the advertised dimensions. With regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning, this rug will maintain its beauty for years to come. The majority of the weavers are women who reside in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. The rug weaving process provides a livelihood for these women and their families, while also supporting local farmers who raise sheep for wool and artisans who create natural dyes.
