This rug is a unique piece of world art that will enhance your living space. Bidjar, Iran is known internationally for its elegant and ancient carpets as well as their rug design. The rug is 100-percent wool with pure vegetable dyes. The knot count per square inch for this rug is 160. The pile height for this rug is 0.5 inches.

Story Behind the Art:
This Bidjar pattern originates in Iran, however, the design of this rug was copied and re-created in the Bhadohi village in the Varanasi region of India, led by Mr. Alam. The entire process of shearing, washing, dyeing and weaving of the rugs is done by village weavers. These rugs are virtually identical in design, workmanship and authenticity as the originals. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.
