  • very nice, but...
    Verified Purchase

I bought several different types of these lamps from overstock all with no issues. Thie one is very unique and nice but after a couple weeks I noticed there was a bunch of clay or something by the lamp. I examined the lamp and noticed that t hey must have used a filler puddy or something on the lamp to fill in some of the imperfections and it came off. Its a very nicve lamp but for that kind of money it should be perfect.

  • beautiful lamp
    Verified Purchase

the problem is that the holder for the bulb is loose and it came that way. Otherwise than that it is a sturdy beautiful lamp. Each lamp is individual due to the stone so mine has a strange block of color on one side and I turn it to see the other striations of color above. Also it is very heavy so my cats can't easily knock over. Anyone who has cats knows how important this is. I use this in my kitchen as a night light but I leave it on all day.

  • Such a unique exquisite peice of art
    Verified Purchase

I love artistic useful items. This complements my large brass trays that my parents got in Cairo in the 50¿s. It brings to mind the broken layers of rock pushed up in the Rockies with the different sediment layers. Color is awesome, as with any rock item each is unique. I Have never spent this much money for a lamp, but I agree that it is worth every penny!! Especially as a decorative lamp, it takes a small bulb, and would not provide light to read by¿.. But as indirect lighting goes, it is the champ of my collection, minimal glare on the big screen as an added bonus! My only comment is that the lighting fixture which holds the bulb was loose, I easily fixed that with epoxy, it appears that it was fixed to the bottom of the bowl in the lamp but I expect the raw stone could have had fine dust that allowed it to dislodge. That is the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars on craftmanship, the craft of the lamp its self is awesome. It came in EXCELLENT packaging well wrapped with lots of padding ad arrived 3 days after I ordered it. Thanks to Overstock World stock for another superior purchase!

  • Turn it on

When I first received this I thought it looked rather dull. Then it got dark and I turned on the lamp. Amazing. Not only is the backlit marble beautiful but the overall warm light effect is amazing. It has become one of my favorite fixtures. Very unique and worth every penny.

  • Lamp color

The color of the lamp is not as it seems in the picture. It is much lighter then you see on the website. That was my only diappointment.

  • Great Lamp!
    Verified Purchase

I just received this lamp in the mail; it is fabulous! It is not as dark in color as the picture but it is still wonderful. The light it puts off is soft and comforting. The size and weight are great. Very high quality workmanship. There is even a notch for the cord to sit under the lamp so it will sit flush on a table top. Highly recommended! Also get the round votive to go with it--they look great together.
