When we received the rug the first thing we noticed was a tear, about 3" long, on the bottoms of the rug. We can't see it from the top side so we decided to keep it. The rug is lovely. The colors are a little darker than shown in the room shot, but more-or-less the same in tone - soft blues, reds and golds. However, I am noticing that the rug is shedding a lot. Within a day of laying out the rug we had grey-blue dust bunnies accumulating on and around the rug. And, the 1st time I vacuumed it, the canister was almost completely full of fibres. I am concerned about how this will stand up over time if it continues to shed like this. Since we rent and will likely not be able to take this rug with us to our next home, the low price makes this a worthy purchase. However, if you are looking for a rug that will last you into the future, you might want to look at something else

  • GREAT RUG! Don't hesitate to buy!

I've purchased several rugs on Overstock so I had no hesitation when purchasing from them because the price, quality and shipping is great. I DID spend a lot of time picking out this rug and the one thing I learned was to look at the pile height. I didn't do this when purchasing other rugs at Overstock and ended up needing a rug pad for some. Not with this one!!!! This is a thick, soft and heavy rug very high quality. I thought the photo and colors were as close as they could get it. One reviewer called this an interesting shade of charcoal brown and although I'm not sure I'd call it charcoal but it is beautiful and unique shade of brown. Not milk chocolate brown or dark chocolate brown just a very beautiful different shade. I have it paired with a dark brown couch and it isn't too much brown (like I wondered about when choosing it) because the border is a beautiful baby blue. I have an open concept hard wood floor with cream walls and this rug brings out the beauty of the oak flooring. The design is so pretty and I especially like the little bit of burnt orange in the design. I really wanted a blue rug but many of the reviews talked about teal and turquoise or the rug was blue with a brown border so I decided to go with this one and I am so glad. Since our large rectangle coffee table sits in the middle you see the gorgeous light blue border. That is the effect I really wanted. I hate to admit how much time it took me to pick out this rug but when I got news of the rug sale I decided to go to my Wish List and I chose this one from three others I had been contemplating. What's funny is I already had the half moon rug in this same design and loved it when I put it in my kitchen by the sink. It is SO THICK it is a joy to stand on. So then I decided it would be great in the 6x9 size but I worried it would be too much brown with a dark brown couch. But it is NOT because of the interesting shade of brown of this rug and the blue. Now I am going to look for pillows for the couch in shades of blue and the burnt orange and it will be good to go! So if you are reading this review...compare the pile height in this rug to others and you will see what I mean. I absolutely love this rug and it is perfect for changing up the look of my living room from the cranberry and blue 8x10 rug I bought last summer from Overstock. I love both rugs but for warmer weather I want to enjoy more of the hard wood. Then in the winter I will change back to the larger rug. My kitchen is painted cranberry so the first rug I bought was great but now that I have learned about pile height I would never buy anything below a .5 again. I also learned that the border is often the focal point of the rug not the middle. Overstock shows photos to showcase rugs but in reality most area rugs have a coffee table or dining room sitting on them. I learned this with my first purchase because I loved the center design but the coffee table covered a lot of it up. Luckily I loved the border in my 8x10 rug but that was only luck because I bought it for the inner design. So with this 6x9 I chose it more for the border and I am so happy! Even if I place the front two legs of the couch on the carpet you see 3 sides of the border and that's my favorite part! So to sum it up...this rug is true to the photo, incredibly thick and lovely. Plus it arrived quick and packaged against rain. Thanks O.com!!!!

  • Excellent rug for the price!

This rug is fabulous! It has brought some extra color into my dining room and really helps to accentuate the darker table I have! It needed to be vacuumed a few times, but doesn't look worn out after the extra fibers have come out. I would definitely recommend this to anyone! One side note, there are just 2 adults + 1 cat in my house, I don't really use our dining room much, so I can't attest for durability!

  • Great rug

I love the color of this rug, the main color is charcoal, which I find it to be a bit different. It works well with other colors, it does not clash. It is exceptionally thick and plush, nothing shy about the content of the fiber. I am using it in my formal dining room, but I could also use it in the living romm and den, very versatile.
