Overall I am very pleased with this rug it is my second one from this co. The first one did not match my green so had to change color . This color blends in so well with my accessories and I am so pleased. Matches my newley decorated kitchen/dining room.

After looking for awhile I spotted this carpet on overstock. I have made purchases in the past with successful outcome so didn't hesitate to order. It was delivered pretty quickly. The essential color was not the "green" as displayed but doable. My greatest disappoint was the smell.... it smelled terrible... mildew, rank, musty. Was soooo dissapointed. However, it was right in every other way. It is pretty heavy so with some help I took it outside and laid it across a table on a bright, warm, sunny day. Also purchased the "odor eaters" sold by arms and hammer and placed the container right on the carpet so it could do it's thing. Also, had a small fan that had a pinch adapater that I put on a table and directed the air towards the carpet. Found a spray in a local store that made the promise that it would eliminate these types of odors. All in all at least 3 wks before I didn't notice the smell. It's a lot of work but if you can bear with the smell and do what you can to eliminate the odor it will eventually be ok. If you don't have the time or patience you will be disappointed. I can only guess that the carpet had been stored in a damp warehouse or like environment. The wool was in great condition as were the colors, no stains or damage, but the smell made your head ache and the house stink. As bad as it was - I hung in there and now it's fine.
