Hand-Hooked Rugs: What You Want for Less
Luxurious in appearance and modest in price, a hand-hooked rug is an excellent addition to decor. Discover how this construction will hold up in your home.
We needed a large rug for our family room, and not wanting to spend too much money we decided to take a chance on this one. The color and look of this rug are very eye-catching! The burnt orange color is great--different than what you'd normally see. But like another reviewer said--it's not a soft rug really. It's basically pieces of jute rope--some shorter, some a few inches long, and everything in between. it's not terribly uncomfortable to walk on--but it's not the kind of rug you'd be comfortable laying on. Quality wise remains to be seen. It's been down for about 3 weeks now, and we are a family of 7 and a dog and it looks pretty good. But I don't see it being a rug that we'll have for years and years. All in all, for the price, and considering we have a lot of kids--this rug was well worth it and we're very happy with it!

Looks Great, but Very Hard Feel
It's an excellent price for a great looking shag rug! But, it is not soft at all! It is almost painful on your feet if you have soft feet! It's made very well and looks great, but I wouldn't put it in a high traffic area. I gave it 3 stars mainly because it's not comfortable to walk on at all. But, on looks and quality alone, I would have gave it 4 stars because of the price...
