A very handy tool. It lets you lock the engage switch with the on switch which is very helpful for this old body of 84+ years. I have not run out of power the times that I have used it. I simply plug it in when I'm through with it and it is ready to go the next time I want to do that kind of trimming. This is especially handy around sprinkler heads and trees--the sprinkler heads to keep from destroying the blade and the trees to keep from cutting the bark.
I transformed my garden the day the tools arrived. The pitch fork handle is comfortable and easy to grip. I have already recommended these tools to my family and friends.
When I first saw, ( as described ), it was Aluminum - thought weeds are harder than Aluminum. Not so! Been using for dandelions & other odd weeds, just fine. It gets down a good 6" of the root, at least. Also, I am not sure how they designed it, but to "melt" the plastic handle (feels abit like rubber) onto the aluminum, is what makes it work so well. I am hoping this tool is around my garden for years to come.
A must-have for older gardeners challenged with arthritis or anyone wanting a handy garden tool. The ergonomic grip allows great control and the sharp pointed blade is long enough to reach the roots and bulbs of the toughest weeds like onion weed and oxalis. Made of aluminium, this tool wont rust or deteriorate if left in the weather. Couldn't be without it now!
