I really should have read the description thoroughly...this is REALLY small. It literally fits into the palm of my hand- I do have a big hand, but you get the picture. I say works great if you have indoor plants that require smaller tools to dig around and prune. Don't even bother if you want to use outdoors. I do use it to prune my miniature rose and to clip my herbs (I have no indoor plants so)...it's really cute? Maybe for hobbits? LOL
Dear folks: overall, this is a good product. It arrived in excellent new condition--I chose Fiskars for its trusted name. It was sufficiently sharp to cut thicker brush, but not so sharp that I worried the blade would be damaged by harder sprigs of wood. Two main points: This plastic carrier / hanger is much better than the nylon sheaths I see the copies sold with. They are all torn in the store because of the unusual shape of the blade. The Fiskars carrier is much better for hanging on the wall than for carrying, and as such I would just drop the tool in my toolbox when not carrying it by hand or in the vehicle. The tool is quite effective and feels safer than a machete. It is not easy on my wrist, however. I am a big man with light wrists, and I find it uncomfortable after a few minutes. It still cuts the brush, though, and doesn't bruise me. Please enjoy this tool. I do recommend it. --Glenn
