The item arrived on time and in excellent condition. However, the delivery person insisted that this oversized item be left curbside. Fortunately, I was able to contact the delivery company's supervisor and dispatcher and explained that a frontdoor delivery was included in my purchase and that a similar delivery was done for a previous purchase of a similar furniture product. After the supervisor spoke to the driver of the truck, the item was brought to our doorstep. The reason why the method of delivery was such a big deal for me was because the distance from the curb to my doorstep is approximately 500 feet. Although this review is intended for the actual item itself, I thought it would be helpful to share the overall delivery experience. The dresser is a well-designed and well-crafted piece of furniture that is made of solid oak. Although the actual size of this dresser is smaller than the picture shown on the Overstock website, I paid particular attention to the given dimensions provided under the item's description. The overall size is smaller and narrower compared to regular full-length dressers but is a perfect fit for that one corner in our bedroom. No major assembly is required except for the mirror installation. The mirror is encased in solid oak and is designed to rest on top of the dresser by screwing the mirror piece to the dresser using 2 wooden support frames on pre-drilled holes on the backs of the mirror and the dresser. However, I decided to instead hang the mirror horizontally on the wall over the dresser which I thought gave it a more functional and modern look. The drawer pulls are temporarily screwed inside the drawers to protect it during shipping. It's not difficult unscrewing it and re-orienting its placement on the outside of each drawer. These brushed silver drawer pulls are simple but contemporary and complement the dresser's deep espresso stain. The drawers itself are solid with stable glides and generously spaced compartments. Each drawer has a dust cover/barrier (a piece of plywood in between drawers). The frosted glass on top of the dresser serves as an effective accent to a furniture piece that is dark-stained wood all over. Overall, if you are into non-ornate, non-gaudy contemporary furniture with simple lines and an elegant design, this is the piece for you. You can't go wrong with solid oak construction at a reasonable price.

I'm not a fan of the look of the "lacquer"look and the drawer handles started to come loose over time.

Bought this dresser to match the bedroom set that I purchased on O. Looks great, love the drawer slides (drawers pull themselves closed with a little push to start). Wood surfaces will scratch if sharp objects are placed on top (ie: set of keys or loose change). Delivery and set up of the entire set was wonderful. One of the dressers was missing the drawer pulls, but Overstock took care of it right away, sending a package of them to correct the issue. The quality of the glass in the mirror is the only other thing that is worth mentioning, as it seems a little lacking. The mirror has some dark spots and imperfections, but they are really small and hardly noticeable.

  • Picture is stretched

We have ordered almost the entire Hampton's California King set..and we love it. Very nice looking and modern. We did order the 6 drawer dresser with mirror and were expecting one a little larger. It looks like a mini dresser compared to the stretched out picture on here. The dresser is only 42 inches wide.. We didn't read that bc it look so nice in the picture. It's still really nice, just not as big as we had hoped. If you want something to take up most of the wall, go ahead and order the tall dresser too. Putting the handles on is also a pain..not a big deal, but takes a big of time. Just be aware of the skewed pictures on the site..Read the dimensions and measure up your wall first..it makes a huge difference
