This is my second one of these hampers. Yes, my first one had to be replaced after three years because the rim around the lid cracked and fell off. That happens because if you grab it by the top to carry it, it has no handles, it will crack. This one I pick up by the bottom. I like it because it is not cloth. Why are so many hampers lined in fabric, you are putting wet towels and such in them, yuck. It is not really green, but almost a blue green. Either way I like this hamper, great size for a small bathroom.
Once it arrived, I realized it is a bit shorter than I expected, but the most important thing to me was width and depth. I was tired of bumping into a traditional size hamper in my bathroom, I just didn't have a good sport to put it. This one measures exactly the width it was described and fits right in. The color works well with my pink and green bathroom. It complements rather than trying to match and is oh so much nicer looking than a white hamper. I'd been looking for one online for a while and this one was the best offered, at a much better price than bed or bath stores.
Bought this to separate and temporarily store recycling indoors - glass, plastic & paper. It is clean, neat, easy to move around and when one bag is full, I just bring it outside and empty the contents into the collection bins. It is important to be sure to close or rinse out jars and bottles, so that the fabric isn't stained, but so far, it has been a practical, workable solution for staying green without it becoming a hassle.
