The screws for the seat for too long would break the corner of the slats out so I had to get flat washers so they wouldn't break the slats none of the holes lined up I had to pre redrill a couple of them for the hooks granted after everything was finally put together the seat looks good but putting it together you better be mechanically inclined
I love my bright cheery orange hammock. One thing to remember about this style of hammock is that unlike in the pictures it does not SPREAD out below you on it's own. When no one is in the hammock is is collapsed into a narrow tight bunch until you pull it apart to get on. It holds you in more of a cocoon unless you lay sideways or spread your legs etc. The hammocks that are spread out have a wooden bar on each end to keep the weave open. If you want that type of hammock this is not the hammock for you. But if you want a hammock to tie up between two trees or between two weight bearing posts on your covered back deck in the city (my situation) then this is PERFECT!
The hammock arrived carefully packaged with great directions on installation and usage. It came with the necessary hooks and was easy to hang. Wide enough for two adults, or one grandma and two little girls! The children loved lying in it reading and my husband is thrilled with it. We have had a woven fabric hammock for years that was too warm and constricting. This is loosely woven, airy and stretchy.
I love the shape of this swing stand. I couldn't find anything else like it. The color of this stand in the picture is deceiving. It looks like a gorgeous honey gold. It is actually more of an orange tint. Since I loved the shape so much, I sanded the stain off and used a water sealer on the natural wood...so, now mine does look like the picture, but it took a lot of hard work with my sander to get there.
