This compact grill is awesome. I bought it to replace my old grill that was taking up too much space on my small urban patio. On top of needing considerably less space than my prior grill, it lights quickly, is powerful, and distributes heat evenly. The grilling surface is substantial and is great quality. Grilling has never been quite as easy. Cuisenart makes a portable grill stand that I found at another site that it fits on top of securely and I purchased the grill cover/carrier. I was expecting to have to compromise on quality to find a grill that would fit on my patio instead of taking it over. I highly recommend this grill.
For the money, this is a wonderful portable and/or stationary gas grill for any occasion! It is perrrrrrfect for we women, because it is light weight and can be taken to all of our get-togethers...no matter how fancy or casual the event. It cooks so evenly, and I love that it has a controllable thermostat for cooking different types of foods -- not just your basic burgers and dogs. It was great at our recent girls night out at my friends little apartment. She had no yard, and only a small balcony in which to grill out, but this little chef's delight grill sat on top of her little balcony plant stand just great! There was no worry about finding an electrical outlet, smoking up her apartment (or setting off any fire alarms!), nor did we have any caustic or dangerous fumes from the charcoal lighter (and subsequently no gas-taste on our food)... just pure excellent taste! Love it! Buy it! You won't be sorry.
I wanted something for items that don't do well on the grill: fish, veggies, etc. My choice needed to be rust-free and machine washable, non-stick if possible. I compared this one to the others and it seemed to fit the bill according to the description. It clearly is very well made (better be for the price lol), and it can go in the dishwasher. However, burnt food residue tends to build up in the holes, and it is very difficult to scrub off. The dishwasher won't touch that stuff, so prepare to use a non-metal utensil and lots of elbow grease.
