First, let me state the obvious: This is an EXPENSIVE watering can. In fact, some might say that you'd be out of your mind to spend this type of money on a watering can... you know, the things you can buy at Walmart for $2 all summer long. But let me say this: you've never truly watered your plants until you've done it with this can. It's quite remarkable just how much water flows from it, but it does so in a way that is so gentle your plants hardly bend. It's not a stream or a dribble or a leaky combination of those like you get from cheap watering cans. It really is like a gentle rain. For the first time ever I was able to water seedlings without fear of washing half of them away or disturbing the freshly planted ground. Expensive yes. But if you water a lot of plants, it's well worth the investment. The can itself is made of a heavy, durable plastic. The "rose" is brass and stays on very well. No complaints.
OK, several reviewers warned that this was a BIG pot and could hold a 100' hose. One person's idea of 100' holder is not everyone's, so I charged ahead, ordering this for my 50' garden house. Well, I suspect I could add a second 50' hose and have plenty of maneuvering room. Pot seemed a little overpriced, but given its actual capacity, is a reasonable cost. Don't know how it will do in the scorching summers of Phoenix, but hope to get several years of use out of this quite handsome pot.
