The Mattress is soft and padded very well. The fabric is a bit scratchy and the "Ivory" Color turns more yellow when mixed with the cheap paint job in my apartment. It's a heavy mattress so it makes folding back up a bit tough. I have owned it for a few months now and I finally bought a mattress pad and some full size sheets (about $40 total) and now it's crazy comfortable - plus I can change the color with the sheets. Looking back, my recommendation would be to buy the nice wood futon *** - $***-$*** - and then buy this mattress. That way if you have multiple people staying over you can use the mattress that originally came with the *** futon and just throw this one on the floor because of how thick it is. So all in all you would be in for less than $*** - or about the price of a low end couch.
Regarding all of the reviews I have been reading about the frustrations that people are having, I wanted to offer some ideas about how you can resolve these issues and others: If your sofa squeaks? Turn it on it's side, open up the lining on the underside and spray some WD-40 on the springs. Actually? Because WD-40 is so strong smelling I always grab my can of "PAM" cooking spray and I use it instead. Then use a staple gun to reattach the under lining to the sofa. BTW if you ever want to keep ants from crawling into outdoor water/food pet bowls or onto the top of a hummingbird feeder etc, just spray some pam onto a napkin and wipe it along the base or top edge of the bowls and at the top of the feeder where the ants access it. If they are entering your home? Spray the PAM in the spot they are entering at. The PAM is way to oily for them to walk through. Even outdoors the PAM stays oily for months and there isn't any chemical odor to endure like with WD-40 The next complaint I saw was that a couple had purchased this sofa and while they were sitting on it, a leg suddenly broke off causing them to tumble to the floor. They are now using a stack of books to hold the sofa up. If it was a clean break? I would use Gorilla Glue and reattach it. If it is an uneven break then smooth it out with sand paper first and once again? Gorilla Glue it. That stuff is phenomenal👍 The reappearing issue I saw was the one about the back of this sofa being covered with black fabric and how because of this, you cannot have the sofa out in the center of the room and are forced to keep it up against a wall. You can simply get 3 yards of upholstery type fabric from a fabric store and simply place it over the back. Who cares if the color is a tad off. If you do? You can always take a toss pillow to the fabric store with you for a perfect match. Measure the black fabric and cut your fabric to fit over it. Add on 2 extra inches on the width and the length of your fabric so it is bigger than the black fabric. Then go around the edges of your cut fabric and fold the edges under about 2" all the way around and iron the turned under edges as you go. This will make your fabric have a sharp clean outer hem. Then you can either attach it to your sofa back with thumbtacks for that nailhead look, or use industrial strength double sided sticky tape and place it around the perimeter of the black fabric and then adhere your fabric to the tape. You can always buy some fabric adhesive sheets and cut them into 2" strips. Iron them to the outer edges of your fabric and then place your fabric up against your sofa and adhere your fabric to the sofa using an iron. You can always place a console table on the back side of your sofa after you are done. If your sofa is lumpy or bumpy or loses it's shape or if it leaves impressions from where you sat on it? This is because it is under stuffed. Just buy a couple of large bags of stuffing and unzip the cushions and pillows or open up the stitching along any of the seams and stuff it inside of the seat cushions and pillows. Make sure you pull the stuffing apart first to loosen and fluff it up so that you aren't stuffing it in all tightly balled up. This will also cause lumps. Thank you, Julee E 👍💖🌟💁💋
