I didn't want to spend this much on a desk for my bedroom but I broke down and bought it since the dimensions were perfect for my space. I have to say I'm very happy with my purchase. The desk is sturdier and heavier than I thought it would be. I thought the directions were pretty straightforward and easy to follow. Put it together by myself in about an hour. For those with limited space such as myself and need to know exactly how much wall space you will need hopefully this will help- the desk part is 47.25" wide and the part with the swing out shelf will take up 42.75" of wall space. I have just this amount of space on the wall that the swing out shelf is against and that is fine for me since I intend to leave it in the L shape. But if you are going to be swinging it in and out and want to do so with ease I would allow for a couple more inches.
This desk is very well made and very easy to put together. My 73 year old mother and I put it together as a surprise for my husband to replace the old heavy particle board desk he had in his home office. He needed an L-shaped desk to hold his 2 laptop computers and his computer monitor. He absolutely loves it the looks and functionality of it. He is an IT professional and works from home at least 3 days a week so it is a desk that gets a lot of use. He uses the keyboard tray to hold pens/paper pads, etc. We did not need the CPU stand but it is nice that it is in there in case someone does.
