This is the best futon mattress you can buy!!! Listen, I have 3 futons in my home. I got rid of all the beds and mattresses. This DPH 8" mattress is the most comfortable mattress I've slepted on in years. I've purchased 10" 14" all different brands and keep coming back to this DHP mattress. I say order it and try it out. If you don't like it, return it but I'll think you'll keep it. It does have a funny chemical smell to it but you need to lay it flat on your futon and let it sit for a few days or so. The mattress will expand to its fullest and the smell will be fading. Give it enough time to expand.
DHP LAYTON TAN LINEN CHAISE fits my need and the space I have. It is a perfect chair to seat for a while, to read and rest. It is perfect to accommodate guests. I like it. Has a simple design, the natural color of the linen is beautiful,
No one has slept on it yet, but it appears very firm. I plan to put foam on top so it will be a bit softer. The quality appears very good, and fits DHP Sophia Upholstered Daybed/trundle perfectly.
Def a minimalist design and easy to put together with a bit of patience. One of the supports came with gouge under the protective wrap, but was quickly replaced by DHP via their online site (no questions asked...they just shipped a replacement). Its a low gloss dark gray, not metallic--and the bed supports are metal too (at first I thought they were springs). A second set of hands would be good for assembly, but it's not necessary. Took me 40 minutes. It's easier to assemble than *** furniture, but likely not the same quality (at least the nicer stuff). Standard twin size mattress fits perfectly. I purchased a 10" mattress, which may be a bit tall if your going to use this as a couch (maybe 7" would be the best). It sits quite tall--so I suspect there is a trundle bed that can be put under it.
