Not too hard to put together, but the finish really scratches easily. Looks very nice in our bedroom. Took less than an hour to assemble with one person, and no bungy straps~
I bought this to put on top of the 10 yr-old sofabed mattress, and guests tell me it's a massive improvement. I don't fold it up in the sofa so it doesn't get wrecked. Instead, it's not hard to roll it up and secure with bungy cords. I just haul it out of the basement and unbungy and it flattens in a minute. Been doing this for 2 years and it works great.
The mattress took several days to come up to its full size, which we expected, but several weeks to properly air out. It is very comfortable overall. The greatest drawback is that it does not fold up into a seated position without being tied down (we use bungy cords). Perhaps after being held there for a while it will maintain that... we haven't had it too long, but it wouldn't fold up at all when we first got it. Since we got it primarily as a second bed, we didn't really care.
Works for my LR. Nice height and looks good - from a distance! Filled in scratches on legs with felt marker. The legs are not smooth - gunky stuff that is hardened on. Sanding would probably work but the table is in a corner so it doesn't matter. Putting on the bottom shelf was a project for this lady. No holes in shelf for the screws. What I did was use a light bungy type cord to hold the legs together with table sitting on its top, took an ice pick and made little indentions, then slowly screwed in the provided screws. Worked out and looks good. Small splatters of the gold fleck on the top doesn't bother me. Overall it is okay, got a good price with my coupons.
