This is the second set of these tables I ordered. The first set was really dark so I returned them (cost me over $30 to do so) and ordered Ash Brown. The Ash Brown were just as dark as the walnut ones and not at all the color on the website. Customer service couldn't guarantee a lighter color and the Ash Brown was now out of stock. I will just live with the dark color. Not very well stained either and some rough areas on the legs that should have been sanded better. Easy to put together though and good size for small spaces.
After years of sleeping on a queen bed we decided to upgrade to a king. The bedroom furniture we had was a unique wood finish, expensive, and in excellent shape so we just wanted to find a bed that would blend with the rest of the furniture. We wanted a low profile footboard and simple lines. After looking at literally 100's of beds online, we found this bed. It was delivered in 3 boxes and it was required some time to assemble but the directions were easy and all the parts were easy to put together. It is a solid piece of furniture, heavy and beautiful. While not the same finish as the existing furniture, it blends well with it and looks wonderful in the Master bedroom.
Well, I love the style of this table and I see now that the description on Overstock has been changed from "color is Gray" to "Ash Brown" in color - when i purchased the table, the description was only "gray" in color which is not true at all. There is nothing "gray' about the color of the table- it is dark BROWN in color. Since I love the mid-century vibe style of the table, I decided to keep them (I ordered two) and paint them the gray color which I thought they were as described and pictured. This entails sanding and painting every part but I'm a stickler for what I want. Overstock is not at fault for the misleading description and they did a great job with shipping fast. Tables were well wrapped and arrived with no damage. They are quite easy to put together, but I do recommend having an electric drill as there are about 12 screws per table. The table's legs are great quality wood with a wood top and a veneer type finish on the top. I have purchased two round pieces of glass for the tops since I don't feel comfortable with painting the top of the tables with the finish being so slick. - I will paint the underside of the glass gray instead to match the legs and the glass will protect the table tops. That said, I now have about $325.00 into two end tables as well as my labor of sanding and painting them, but I still think that's a pretty good price for two quality end tables. Great price on the tables Overstock!
