Read if you are considering buying. It could save you lots of time. This sofa is so beautiful and feels so good to sit in, I gave it a public 4! BUT... The reason I knocked off the 1.5 stars is because when i buy a piece over a certain price, I dont expect to have to take part in its actual construction. The other reviews about the legs being difficult to put on don't cover the half because you need to drill those holes yourself and doing so is quite a task. It's one thing to have to assemble something, it's a whole other thing when you have to "get into the wood." It would have been so easy for the manufacturer to drill these holes with a machine and have the buyer simply screw in the legs. I spent the better part of my day, hours on hours in fact fussing with the drill holes and trying to get the legs on. Two of my drill bits broke and so I had to stop in the middle of what I was doing to go to Home Depot to buy new drill bits AND a 12V drill because the 8V that I bought just for this just wasn't cutting it - pun intended. It's very important that you use a COBALT drill bit because anything less will likely just break off into the furniture which is exactly what happened to me. The drill bit should also be 5/32 because the screws are #11 - which doesn't actually exist and if you go with anything smaller, you WILL have issues. Now on to why I gave that extra half - This sofa provides the perfect height for the perfect sitting position for any one between 5'6" and 5'8" and as someone with lower back issues, that is a HUGE plus as I did not expect to be this comfortable on this sofa. The firmness of the sofa is also perfect but my only issue here is the quality. It leaves an indent if you've been sitting in it awhile, since Ive only had it in my house for a day, i do not know if it will remain like this but I surely hope not. And this is the reason for the full star deduction because it is not a high end sofa as beautiful as it is there some issues with the details. The color is also fabulous as I had some concern about that as there is an actual "silver" version of this sofa but as soon as I opened it, I was in love with the color and the photos do not do it justice. They should have called it "antique silver" because that's what it really looks like. Overall, i am pretty happy with this sofa and I look forward to it being the center piece of conversation for years because it looks so darn cool and somewhat edgy. If you're thinking about it and don't mind drilling holes, go for it! I certainly do not regret this purchase.
