I'm a 65 yr-old woman and not very handy, but I had no trouble putting this together. I did not attach the mirror that comes with it, though, I bought a large tri-fold mirror, also available on Overstock.com, and set it on top, which looks much better. It was well packed, too, especially for the fact that this includes 2 big pieces of glass. This looks gorgeous in my new bathroom and it is big enough for an adult medium-sized woman. Some vanities are made for teens or children so you are using it for an adult make sure you check the dimensions. I like that Overstock gives you exact specifications.

I was very upset when I revived the vanity only to find the knobs on the mirror are made of plastic. They are also a different color than the rest of the vanity. Either they should match in color or be made in metal. This makes the overall look of the vanity cheap and less classy. I took a chance on this only seeing it online. The overall design is nice but cheaply made. There was one at urban outfitters that was cheaper and did not have any plastic parts but it was sold out and they would not sell me the floor model. I learned my lesson and will only purchase from stores I am familiar with from now on.

This vanity is alright... A lot of people in the reviews comment about how they used it for their child, which makes sense. We thought it would fit into our 1930's style master bathroom and the quality just isn't quite there. It just feels a bit flimsy and cheap... not really something you want in such a dominant place in the bathroom. My wife liked the look in the photos, so I got it for her because I kept finding her sitting down in front of the bathroom door, which has a full length mirror, to do her hair. Now I still find her doing that... I asked why, and she said it's because the mirror on the vanity isn't large enough and it's too far away from her face, so she prefers using the larger mirror she can sit directly in front of. She also does the same for her makeup. I have yet to see her sit in front of this vanity once. It's more used for storage/clutter build up, which was certainly not its purpose... I want her to use this and stop sitting on the floor and getting hair everywhere!
